The two are discussing whether they relate to the Roman characters in Julius Caesar, and how far removed they feel their lives are from the Bard’s own. Sitting across from Isaac at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City is Mackenson, a high school senior who moved to New York from Haiti three years ago. He pauses slightly before adding, “Well, not literally.” So says Isaac, a recent high school graduate from Puerto Rico. “I actually kind of know what it feels like to be Caesar.”
